As of January 21, 2022, bidding has been delayed due to funding. Although a firm schedule has not been disclosed, bidding and construction could occur in early Quarter 2 2022. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Village of Pioneer intends to contract for Engineering services in connection with the Kexon Drive Extension. Firms interested in being considered for a contract to provide the required services should reply with a statement of qualifications. Statements received after this deadline will not be considered. Statements of qualifications should include information regarding the firm's history; education and experience of owners and key technical personnel; the technical expertise of the firm's current staff; the firm's experience in performing engineering studies, design, construction administration and construction observation; availability of staff; the firm's equipment and facilities; references; and any previous work performed for the Village of Pioneer. As required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-73, responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the Village of Pioneer will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. The preliminary project description is as follows: Kexon Drive Extension. Location: The Kexon Drive Extension will start at the Easterly end of the existing pavement (approximately 800 feet East of State Street). The proposed extension will be approximately 2,670 lineal feet. Description: The Kexon Drive project will consist of a complete new street, including pavement, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewers, sanitary sewers and water line. Source of Funding: State of Ohio Project Schedule Anticipated dates for design startup/completion: Design startup will be at the time of contract execution between the Village of Pioneer and the selected consultant. Design completion will be September 1, 2021. Anticipated dates for construction startup/completion: Construction startup will be in October, 2021. Construction completion will be June 1, 2022. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
