Saving Project...

Demolition, site work and addition to an office development in Auburn, Alabama. Completed plans call for the addition of a office development.

The project consists of minor demolition of existing parking facilities, utility relocation, and the construction of a new 7,000 square foot facility to service as the Auburn Center for Developing Industries (ACDI) Business Center. The facility will include training, classroom, conference, office and event space to serve Auburn-area industries, Southern Union State Community College, Auburn University, the City of Auburn, and its Industrial Development Board. This project is funded through a federal government grant. The building construction will require knowledge of and proven experience with Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) as a material in construction. Cashiers check or bid bond payable to The Industrial Development Board of the City of Auburn in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds, immigration documentation as required by The Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, and insurance in compliance with requirements, will be required at the signing of the Contract. All bidders understand and agree that in the awarded contract, the lowest responsive bidder must either certify that it is in compliance with the Act and agree that it will not violate the act during the term of the contract; or agree to offer the goods or services for at least 20 percent (20%) less than the lowest business entity certifying compliance with the Act. Pre-qualification proposal package requirements may be obtained from the Stacy Norman Architects, LLC, 126 Tichenor Ave, Auburn, AL 36830 by written (electronic or hardcopy) request on the Contractor's company letterhead. General Contractors will be notified of pre-qualification to bid on or before Friday, September 22, 2023, at which time plans will be available for distribution per above requirements. The Industrial Development Board of the City of Auburn reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technical errors and/or abandon the bid process if, in their judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
