Demolition, site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Manchester, New Hampshire. Working plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The owner has determined a prequalified list of construction managers and these firms likely finalized around Feb 14. The purpose of this project is the replacement of the existing fire station #9, located at 575 Calef Road. The structure will be razed and replaced with a new and modern fire station to serve the Manchester community. The successful C/M firm will be expected to perform a thorough evaluation of the new design programs and participate as a team member assisting the Architect and the Owner ultimately for the construction of a new fire station which accomplishes the purpose. The C/M will be required to work in conjunction with the Architect, Facilities Division and Manchester Fire Department (MFD), in order to fully define the program. Programming meetings are to be held weekly with all parties establishing and confirming requirements prior to finalizing design development concepts and thru completed construction. We expect the project budget to be in the $4,000,000 range. Qualified C/M's must demonstrate past experience with similar municipal structures and be prepared to assist the City and Architect to develop viable construction options to stay within budget. Construction is planned to start around August 2022. The City of Manchester may negotiate with one or more responsive C/M firms in order to make a tentative selection. Once a tentative selection has been made, a final scope of services and fee shall be negotiated with the selected firm in order to enter into a contract deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to accept any proposal, in whole or in part, to achieve the best proposal as determined by the City at its sole discretion. It is anticipated that the project will be bid with sufficient lead time for bidding to the C/M subcontractors and for construction to begin in August of 2022 with a completion date to be determined All questions regarding this RFQ for this project will only be taken in the form of electronic mail and addressed to, Eric Krueger, ekrueger@manchesternh.gov be submitted no later than December 22, 2021 The Chief Facilities Manager reserves the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all submitted packages. Failure to submit all requested information called for may be sufficient for disqualification. The City reserves the right to extend this CM contract to include additional related services at other City of Manchester public facilities for an additional three (3) years from contract execution date.
