Project includes the replacement of three existing vertically mounted split case pumps and motors, installation of new horizontal split case pumps, variable frequency drives (VFD), process piping, and electrical equipment, including the installation of a new electrical building and dedicated service entrance, 3-phase transformer, standby generator, and service panels. 1.Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed as follows: 330 calendar days for substantial completion. 360 calendar days for final completion. Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $ 1,000 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for substantial completion, and $ 1,000 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for final completion. Manchester Water Works Contractor Prequalification 1.1 Manchester Water Works (MWW) is seeking qualifications from experienced contractors for the construction of the Derryfield booster pump station located on a MWW owned parcel at 90 Oak Hill Avenue in Manchester, NH. 1,2 The Derryfield pump station was constructed in 1970 and provides water to the Wellington and Beacon Hill storage tanks within the third service area of the MWW system. The Derryfield pump station rehabilitation project includes the replacement of the three existing split case pumps and motors, installation of new variable frequency drives (VFD), electrical equipment (including installation of a new electrical building and dedicated service entrance, 3-phase transformer, standby generator, and service panels), and new process piping. The project will be sequenced to reduce the amount of time the pump station is offline and limit potential disruptions to normal system operation. 1,3 Only contractors and/or subcontractors with demonstrated experience constructing booster pump stations in cold-weather climates shall be considered. 1.4 Only contractors designated as being prequalified by written correspondence from MWW shall be considered for invitation to submit bids for this project. MWW reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids when such action is deemed in the best interests of MWW. Non-responsive and/or unbalanced bids may be rejected. Copies may also be shipped to prospective bidders for an additional charge to cover handling and mailing fees. All payments for printing and shipping are nonrefundable.
