Renovation of an educational facility in Lowell, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Upgrade of the Ball Hall IT network and infrastructure through expanding of network closets. Work includes new cooling for closets, increasing closet size, and new cabling. Ball Hall 185 Riverside Street, Lowell, MA 01854 The work is estimated to cost $381,000. **Additional sets may be purchased for $ 50.00. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $ 40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), nonrefundable, payable to the BidDocs ONLINE Inc., to cover mail handling costs. The project is comprised of locating interior pathways for IT infrastructure in the least invasive and most direct manner, while providing sensitivity to the existing architecture, on all levels of Ball Hall. The existing IT closet layouts within Ball Hall will be addressed to meet current desired spatial and IT requirements. Renovations to vertical chases at each floor will be required as part of this project. The project includes IT/ Cabling pathway layouts, new wall, door, and cable tray details and corresponding MEP/FP updates to support this IT infrastructure. The installation design will limit impacts on any existing hazardous materials and existing building infrastructure and finishes to the greatest extent possible.
