Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Wayland, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Town of Wayland invites sealed bids for Stones Bridge Stabilization project. The scope of work includes but is not limited to, the following: the rehabilitation and restoration of a dry masonry stone four arch bridge, work shall be performed in accordance with Wayland Conservation Commission and United States Corps of Engineers Permits and Order of Conditions. The work generally consists of restoration activities including conducting shellfish management within the waterway, installing temporary shoring and bracing systems, removal of groundcover and soil from the top of arches and upper spandrel walls, removal of shifted parapet courses, selectively wedge and chink dry laid stones where needed, dismantling shifted lower portions of spandrel walls and excavating retained soil, reconstructing walls and replacing backfill on top of a new filter fabric and interweaving geogrid material in between layers, providing final landscaping, plantings, and fencing, and other related work.
