The facility is owned by Fairfax County and operated by the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board. Soliciting statements of qualifications from consulting A/E firms for design and construction administration services for the renovation/expansion of the Crossroads facility located at 6901 South Van Dorn Street, Alexandria, Virginia. Major disciplines required for this project may include but are not limited to architectural and interior design, civil engineering, structural engineering, landscape architecture, geotechnical engineering, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, HVAC and building envelope peer review, third-party commissioning agent, LEED accredited sustainability consultant, independent cost estimator, value engineering specialist, and surveying. The County will conduct negotiations for these services with the top-rated firm that is selected for this project. If a satisfactory fee, schedule and terms can be negotiated with the top-rated firm, a contract will be awarded. If not, negotiations with the top-rated firm will be terminated in writing and negotiations will begin with the firm ranked next highest, and so on.
