Demolition, new construction and renovation of a municipal facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for the construction of a 131,535-square-foot, five-story above grade, 400-space municipal facility; and for the demolition of a municipal facility.
As of April 13, 2022, the owner has selected a construction manager. Demolition of the State Office Building is expected to begin later in 2022. The previous solicitation has been included below for reference: Question Submission Close Date 7/26/2021 3:00 PM MDT The State of Utah - Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is requesting proposals for the construction of the following project: NORTH CAPITOL BUILDING - STATE OF UTAH CAPITOL HILL COMPLEX CAPITOL PRESERVATION BOARD - SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH DFCM PROJECT NO. 22366050 This Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) project includes preconstruction and full construction services for the construction of a new four-story building on Capitol Hill (full project description begins on Page 4). The FLCC for the project is limited to $130,221,892 The contractor is also hereby notified that the $100,000 incentive for "contingency management" is removed from the contract. Another incentive may be added via addendum, but that has yet to be determined. The Request for Proposals (RFP) documents, including the selection requirements and the Project Schedule, will be available on the Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P) website and can also be accessed via the DFCM website - Electronic Bidding. The procurement shall be under the Value Based Selection RFP method. The CM/GC for the project must be a Utah licensed General Contractor. Association with other individuals or firms having appropriate professional expertise and licensing will be permitted as allowable by the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL). It is the contractor's responsibility to confirm any such association or joint venture is acceptable with DOPL's requirements. The State will enter into a single agreement with the successful Contractor. The Cost Proposal, Bid Bond, Management Plan, References, and Statements of Qualifications, must be emailed to DFCM at dfcmcontracts@utah.gov . DO NOT SUBMIT VIA U3P. Submittals must be received by DFCM by the specified time or will be considered non-responsive. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the Division of Facilities Construction and Management on the AIA Document A310 - 2010 Bid Bond, or equivalent shall accompany the Cost Proposal emailed as separate attachment to DFCM at dfcmcontracts@utah.gov. The Division of Facilities Construction and Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State.
