Salt Lake City is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide potassium based runway deicing fluid on an as needed basis. Salt Lake City Corporation (City) is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide potassium acetate based runway deicing fluid on an as needed basis for the Department of Airports (Airport). Airport usage of potassium acetate based runway deicing fluid has averaged approximately 261,000 gallons per winter season over the last five (5) years, with the highest season usage being approximately 399,560 gallons. However, the City and the Airport do not guarantee, either expressly or by implication, the purchase of any particular quantity of potassium acetate based runway deicing fluid in this Request for Bid or any resulting contract. Actual purchase requirements shall be determined from time to time by actual need.
