Demolition and site work for a bridge / tunnel in Georgetown, Delaware. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Pre-bid Meeting: No Location: Sussex County The improvements consist of furnishing all labor and materials for removal of bridge 3-928R, Lewes RR Swing Bridge. Remove the steel superstructure and move it a new locations for display and preservation in coordination with the SHPO. The steel will most likely be moved out by barge. Remove the pivot and rest pier, cut off piles below the mudline, remove the timber approach trestles, remove embankment to the current edge of the canal and place rip rap along the edge of the canal. All work on this contract must be complete within 186 Calendar Days. The Contract Time includes an allowance for 40 Weather Days. The Department's intent is to issue a Notice to Proceed for work to start on or about September 7, 2021. Questions : E-MAIL TO; dot-ask@delaware.gov.
