Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project generally includes grading, drainage, erosion control, 10-foot-wide, 1/4 mile long, asphalt paved greenway trail, concrete sidewalk, and a 72-foot-long pedestrian bridge. No bid shall be considered or accepted by the City of Raleigh unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a deposit with the City of Raleigh of cash, or a cashiers check or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in an amount equal to not less than five percent of the Proposal. In lieu of making the deposit as above provided, such Bidder may file a Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of the state of North Carolina to execute such bonds, conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith Contract in accordance with the Bid Bond. If upon acceptance of his Bid, a Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the City of Raleigh, the Bid deposit shall be forfeited to and become the property of the City of Raleigh. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in the state of North Carolina. Bidders must conform to the provisions of the North Carolina Contractors Licensing Act of 1925, as amended. The Contract is to be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder, provided the Bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Bidding Documents, is judged to be reasonable, and does not exceed the funds available. Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed or any national origin and so certify with the form included in the Proposal.
