Greenwood County ("Owner Representative") is requesting proposals from general contractors, graders and/or paving companies for the construction of a walking track at 3801 McCormick Highway, Bradley, SC 29819 (Parcel ID # 6823-366-605). The grading/paving project will circle the current Promised Land Ballfield and is approximately 1350' in total length. The property owners, The Promised Land Association, are requesting an approximately 8' wide, asphalt walking track with an add alternate for a rubberized surface. The cost proposal for the walking track should include clearing, rough and final grading, a 4-inch deep stone base, approximately 9' wide and a 2-inch deep, asphalt surface, approximately 8' wide. Performance and Payments bonds in the amount of 100% of the work shall be filed with the Owner prior to the commencement of the Work. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, or a proposal bond, for not less than five percent (5%) of a base proposal, payable to the Owner as security for execution of Contract, etc., under terms embodied in the form of the proposal. If the Proposal Bond is used, it must be executed by the Proposer, and must have corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner and be authorized to conduct business in SC. This request seeks to identify the cost proposal submitted that is in the best interest of Greenwood County and the Promised Land Community. The proposals submitted will be evaluated utilizing the Selection Guidelines outlined in this Request for Proposals. The County and the Promised Land Community are seeking a cost-effective and highly qualified partner. Greenwood County reserves the right to reject any and all submittals. This solicitation does not commit Greenwood County to award an agreement, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a qualification and of any supplementary presentation, or to procure or contract for the articles of goods or services. Greenwood County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this solicitation, to negotiate with all qualified firms, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this solicitation if it is in the best interest of the County to do so. Notice to Proceed and to substantially complete the work within NINE (9) MONTHS from such date.
