City of DeLand will receive sealed proposals at the City Hall 2nd floor receptionist, 120 South Florida Avenue, DeLand, Florida, and will open the submitted bids in the Commission Chambers, first floor, immediately following the submittal closing time for the following: 17/92 Pedestrian Lighting Improvements Bidders must be prequalified for Electrical work by the Florida Department of Transportation to perform the work required under this contract. All bidders agree to comply with s.20.055(5), Florida Statutes. Bids must comply and be submitted in accordance with the project technical specifications which may be obtained at the offce of the Public Services Director, 1102 S. Garfield Avenue, DeLand, Florida, any time prior to the bid opening. Quesfions shall be directed to the offce of the Purchasing Coordinator at purchasing@deland.org. The project is located along Woodland Blvd. in the City of DeLand, Volusia County, Florida. The purpose of this project is to improve roadway safety at the intersections for drivers and pedestrians by providing LED retrofit intersection lighting at the following intersections with Woodland Blvd.: Voorhis Ave., Howry Ave., New York Ave. (SR 44), Indiana Ave., Rich Ave., and Wisconsin Ave. All the intersections have existing decorative lighting which will be maintained to accommodate the City of DeLand's aesthetic synchronicity. The project includes replacement of 72 existing light fixtures with upgraded LED fixtures and the addition of two light poles, one on SW corner of Woodland Blvd. South of Indiana Avenue and the other one on NE corner of Indiana Avenue and Woodland Boulevard
