Renovation of a fire / police facility in Orange Beach, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Work will include all materials and labor for disassembly of the existing 40-ft. by 60-ft. metal building, clearing the new site, pouring a concrete slab foundation, and reassembly of the metal building. Qualified contractors are invited to bid. Bids in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Orange Beach in an amount not less than 5% of the bid amount, but in no event more than $10,000. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds will be required from the Contractor. The Contractor will be required to obtain a business license from the City to operate within the Corporate Limits. Be advised that overnight delivery by express or courier to Orange Beach is not guaranteed. Faxed bids will not be accepted. The lowest responsive, responsible bid will be accepted with key consideration based upon best value and benefit to the public. The City of Orange Beach reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularity in the bids received, and to accept or reject any items of the bid for the benefit of the public. No conditional bids will be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing date and time for the receipt of bids. The successful bidder shall relocate the existing Fire Station No. 5 Bay from its current location at 4550 Main Street at the Wharf, Orange Beach, Alabama, 36561, to the new temporary Fire Station No. 5 site located at 4402 William Silvers Parkway, Orange Beach, Alabama, 36561, per the following bid specifications. Work includes the following: 1. Disassemble the existing 40-ft. by 60-ft. metal building including overhead doors and disposing of the lap siding system on exterior walls. Existing slab to remain. 2. Construct new concrete slab foundation for new site on William Silvers Parkway. Pricing shall be for slab on grade. The City will have the ground to rough grade. See attached site plan. 3. Relocate and reassemble metal building system with existing roof sheets and trim and add new colored metal siding panels and trim. 4. Re-install existing overhead coiling doors at one end. Move personnel door to east side. 5. Construct concrete aprons in front of overhead doors and walk door and tie into existing asphalt or stone surface as required. 6. Clean up both work sites. Bid total shall be firm, net, delivered pricing, and shall include the cost of all labor and materials required to complete the project. The City of Orange Beach is tax exempt
