The project consists of building an addition to the city hall and police department for the purpose of creating a secure sallyport for use by the police department for the city of park ridge, 200 vine ave., park ridge, il, hereafter called the owner, and is to be constructed in accordance with the contract documents prepared by studiogc, dated may 9, 2022. The 920 s.F. Facility consists of a single vehicle garage space, ada lift, shower and toilet facility, emergency shower, and storage lockers. The addition will have the code required mechanical, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Additionally, the project involves approximately 400 s.F. Of interior renovation to facilitate the safe transfer to detainees into the lockup facility. The project is to be constructed while the remainder of the facility is in use.
Scope: the work includes the work of all trades required; and all the labor, materials, and equipment necessary and incidental to the construction and completion of the work.
Work to be executed under one general contract, including all trades. Performance and payment bond: if the total bid amount is over $50,000, the successful bidder will be required to obtain performance and payment bonds per illinois statutes. Upon notice of acceptance of bid, the successful bidder shall, within five (5) calendar days of said notice, furnish to the procurement officer a faithful performance and labor & material payment bond(s) in the full amount of the contract, conditioned upon the faithful performance of all covenants, conditions, and stipulations under the contract. The bond shall be secured by a surety company acceptable to the city, licensed to do business as a surety in the state of illinois. Unauthorized contact with other City Employees is strictly forbidden.
