The proposed work is officially known as SANITARY SEWER in the City of Altamont, Illinois. The project shall consist of material, labor, and equipment to construct a Proposed Lift Station, Force main, 8" Gravity sanitary sewer with Sanitary manholes. The contractor shall work with other contractors in the area, and shall act in a professional manner to get the project complete in a timely manner. The work included under this contract shall consist of Sanitary Sewer within the City of Altamont as shown on the plan title sheet. The work included under this contract shall consist of, placement of sanitary sewer (if approved by City engineer) and other miscellaneous work. The bids as given in the proposal shall include all labor, equipment, utilities, materials, services and appurtenances necessary for the construction of the utilities, ready for use. (b) All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier's check, bank draft or certified check for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. 5. Rejection of Bids The Owner reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any or all proposals. 6. Prevailing Wages The Contractor will be required to comply with the prevailing wages in effect at the time of the work, as established by the City of Altamont.
