**As of Sept. 16, 2021, the project was awarded to Tanks co inc for $848,000.00. Approx start date is on 10/11/2021. Contractor shall coordinate with City personnel prior to commencing work. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with the guidelines and procedures set forth within the Contract Specifications. This contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: Perform all surface preparation and coating of all exterior and interior surfaces including, pressure washing the inside and outside of the tank, shrouding, removal and disposal of sediment from interior of tank prior to commencing work. Provide for quality control procedures for preparation of surfaces and coating application. Perform surface preparation and apply coating to all exposed yard piping, valves and appurtenances. Provide for quality control procedures for preparation of surfaces and coating application. Remove and replace twenty (20) corroded wind rod connection plates. Remove and replace ten (10) wind rods. Remove and replace ten (10) struts. Remove and replace the existing roof hatch with a new 30" diameter hatch. Remove and replace the existing ladders with new 16" wide ladders with non-skid rungs. Remove and replace the existing wet riser access manway with a new 30" diameter manway. Remove the existing 8" overflow outlet from the tank shell and patch tank shell. Remove and replace the existing 4" tank overflow from the tank roof to the ground level with a new 8" overflow pipe including pipe supports and flap valve. Remove and replace the existing header piping with new header piping as shown on the plans. Furnish and install armor insulation on the header piping. Remove and replace the existing header piping with a new RC slab. Remove all previous containment welding burrs from the tank shell. Furnish and install mixing system. Remove and replace electrical conduit connections including connections to logo illumination fixtures and lighting panel with new conduit and conductors from base to the logo illumination fixtures. Regrade EST site to facilitate drainage. Remove and dispose of all used blasting media from previous rehab project. Perform soluble salt testing inside and outside of the tank at locations selected by the engineer. Should the results be positive, the contactor shall rewash and reblast the tank. Contractor may take the existing chain link fence down as required to install the shroud; however, fence must be put back in same or better condition. Contractor shall provide means of securing site while fence is down. Remove and replace the existing overflow trough and drain pipe. Remove and replace the existing 24" x 24" JB. Provide disinfection and testing prior to returning the water storage tank to service. Disinfection shall be as per the latest version AWWA C652. The owner will fill the tank and test the water. If the sample fails, the Contractor shall disinfect the tank again and pay for the subsequent testing fee. Provide and install OSHA approved "Confined Space Entry" placards for both access hatches. Contractor to paint two (2) logos on the elevated storage tank. "PORT NECHES" with the Indian Head logo between the words. The color and location of the logos are to be selected by the Owner. The contractor shall submit a scale rendering of the logo on the tank for approval by the Owner. Contractor shall restore the site and driveways to their original condition or better by grading and replacing all damaged sod and driveway surfacing.
