The project replaces the existing structurally deficient bridge located on Islay Street over Mission Creek, west of Castillo Street. The project is estimated at $9.5 million for preliminary engineering, right-of-way, and construction phases. The City match requirement for this bridge is estimated to be 11.47%, which is the standard under the Highway Bridge Program (HBP) Project is included in the City of Santa Barbara's FY 2022-2026 CIP. Per the owner, as of July 6, 2022, this project is not currently funded. The owner states that there will be a potential funding opportunity in the fall of 2022.
