Q And A Open: 07/22/2021 09:30:00 PM Q And A Close: 08/10/2021 02:30:00 AM This contract is subject to a 7.24% MBE and a 3.6% WBE participation requirement. Influent Screw Pump Replacement, Phase 1. Contractor Category: Mechanical. The work ofthis Contract is located in Clinton, MA at the Clinton Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Contract Time: The Contract time is 540 calendar days from the effective Notice to proceed date. Liquidated Damages: Liquidated damages amount is $2,200 per calendar day. Notwithstanding Article 5 ofthe Authority-Contractor Agreement, the $2,200 per calendar day liquidated damage amount set forth herein applies to the achievement of Substantial Completion as defined in Section 00700 of the Contract. The Clinton Wastewater Treatment Plant is owned and operated by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) to provide advanced wastewater treatment, including nutrient removal, for the Towns of Clinton and Lancaster, Massachusetts prior to discharging the treated effluent to the South Nashua River. The treatment facility is designed to treat an average daily flow of 3.01 million gallons per day (mgd). The treatment facility includes preliminary treatment in the form of grit removal, and reening/comminution followed by primary settling, trickling filtration, aeration tanks, secondary clariflocculators for nutrient removal, tertiary treatment disc filtration system for phosphorus removal and chlorination prior to discharge to the river. The facility also includes an anaerobic digestion system consisting of primary and secondary digester tanks followed by digested sludge storage and sludge dewatering facilities. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary for the Replacement ofthe Influent Lift Station Screw Pumps. The Work includes the following major items ofwork as indicated and specified. Replacement ofthree (3) enclosed 48-inch diameter screw pumps. Replacement ofthree (3) 72-inch by 60-inch slide gates. Bypass pumping as required for installation of new equipment. Installation of new electrical equipment for screw pumps. Concrete surface and crack repairs. Installation of new instrumentation and controls and replacement of select existing instrumentation. Replacement ofthe influent Clinton and Lancaster Parshall flume flow analyzer and transmitters. This Section specifies the requirements for performing cutting, coring and patching for all structural elements during construction. Structural elements shall not be cut, cored and patched in a manner that reduces their load carrying capacity or load-deflection ratio. Do not cut, core and patch facilities in service or personnel protection items in a manner that reduces their capacity to perform or impacts safety. All cutting, coring, and rough patching shall be performed by the Contractor. Finish patching shall be performed by the trade associated with the application ofthe particular finish.
