Contract No. T-316.89F001-3-03 - Plumbing Work This project provides for the construction of a new Devault Maintenance Facility. The maintenance facility includes construction of buildings and all associated site and supportive work as follows: (1) Maintenance Shed including a 90' x 332' Equipment Storage wing, and a 90' x 181' Vehicle Maintenance & Repair wing, and an interconnecting Administrative area with offices, lunchroom and toilet and locker-room facilities. (2) 85' x 140' Salt Storage Buildings. (3) 45' x 76' Salt Storage Building (4) 35' x 40' Canopy for the Vehicle Fueling Station An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) Only bidders prequalified by the Commission will be permitted to provide proposals for the separate prime contracts. All other bids received will be rejected. Subcontractors are not required to be prequalified by the Commission. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
