Inc. for $735,852.25.** Phoenixville Pike at Sidley Rd & Yellow Springs Rd Improvements The scope of work generally includes excavation, full depth pavement, milling and overlay, stormwater, minor concrete with ADA ramps, pavement markings, signs, and signalization items. The work indicated will be at a minimum, partially funded via Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) grants from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania acting through the Commonwealth Financing Authority. The bidding process, contract, and conduct of the work must meet the requirements of the MTF grant agreements, which has been entered into by Charlestown Township, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The agreement(s) obligates Charlestown Township to certain compliance requirements. If said compliance requirements are not followed, funding for the project will be at risk. Bidder's attention is directed to the Technical Specifications Section of the bid package, which contains the MTF Reimbursement Agreements and related Additional Special Provisions as an attachment. These documents outline the specific requirements of the MTF program. Submission of a bid for this Project will be considered the Contractors acknowledgement of these requirements and commitment to adhere to the same. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, certified check or cashier's check, in favor of Charlestown Township in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms provided by Charlestown Township. All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified and must complete a non-collusion affidavit. This contract is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract documents. There is a zero percent verify requirement for MBE and/or WBE participation. Award of the Contract, if the contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, however Charlestown Township reserves the right to reject any and or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders must submit with their bids, the non- collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents.
