Upgrading of 45 kilometres of Highway 3 from West of Twp. Rd. 70 at Pincher Creek to East of Highway 810 in Fort MacLeod to a full freeway. Highway 3:04 from Km 27.0 (west of TWP RD 70) to Highway 3:06 Km 43.2 (East of Highway 810). TIMELINE: Functional planning study is ongoing. Scope of work consists of developing a functional plan for the staged upgrading of Highway 3 into a twinned expressway and then ultimately into a full freeway with interchanges. Design, tender and construction timelines are yet to be determined. Further update may be available in 2026. *Budget to be confirmed.
