Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a civil project in Whitby, Ontario. Working plans call for paving for a road / highway; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Widening of Victoria/ Bloor Street Widening - East of Thickson Road to West of Stevenson Road from 2/3 lanes to 4/5 lanes. The scope of work will include; Widening to four (4) through lanes and a centre left turn lane; Rehabilitation of the existing road; Multi-use pathway along the southside of the corridor from east of Thickson Road to Thornton Road South. Concrete sidewalk along the southside of corridor from Thornton Road South to the eastern study limit; and A new 1200mm watermain from Thickson Road to Thornton Road, approximately 1.7 km. TIMELINE: The design of the widening, including a large diameter watermain, from east of Thickson Road to west of Stevenson Road is currently on-going. This project will move forward after completion of construction of the first section, South Blair St to Thickson Rd, which is followed under a separate report. Design will be done in-house by the Region. Construction is potentially scheduled for 2025, but is subject to change based on capital funding allocation.
