This work project includes the stabilization of the Stone Dairy Barn on the campus of Legacy Park located at 500 South Columbia Drive, Decatur, Georgia 30030. The project includes the removal of the existing shingle roof, repair and replacement of decking, installation of an insulating roofing system to fry the building to prevent any future deterioration of the wooden framing system and other items as specifically outlined in the architectural document attached. If said work is not completed within the time stated above, the Contractor shall be liable and hereby agrees to pay the City as liquidated damages and not as a penalty the sum of $200 dollars per calendar day for each and every day or part of a day thereafter that said work remains incomplete. Any questions regarding bids and/or misunderstandings that may arise from this proposal should be submitted, via email and should be directed to Felix Floyd, Facilities Maintenance Superintendent, at felix.floyd@decaturga.com, no later than November 22, 2021 at 3:00PM. The Contractor shall commence work under this Contract as soon as possible after the award and must complete work no later than 60 (sixty) days after the Notice to Proceed. 1. The Contractor shall remove all existing roofing material down to the decking. 2. The Contractor shall inspect decking for damaged decking and replace all damaged 1X6 decking. 3. The Contractor shall take pictures of damaged decking and rafters and contact the Facilities Maintenance Superintendent. 4. The Contractor shall inspect 2X6 rafters and replace damaged rafters. 5. The contractor shall install 4 inch rigid insulation about the decking. 6. The contractor shall install 1/2 inch cover board. 7. The contractor shall install peel and stick membrane underlayment. 8. The Contractor shall install 30 year 3 tab asphalt shingles with drip edge. 9. The Contractor shall use pressure treated pine fascia and soffit boards to conceal and protect the wood. 10. The Contractor shall place tarps around the building to catch debris and nails. 11. The Contractor shall dispose of all debris
