Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Calling Lake, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.
**As of March 11, 2022 neither a short list nor a final selection has been determined. The MD of Opportunity No. 17 (MD) wishes to obtain proposals from qualified Contractors for the design/build of the Calling Lake Seniors Centre within the Hamlet of Calling Lake. Any Contractor that desires to submit a proposal for design-build of the project must be qualified by the MD. All documents shall be submitted to the Owner, care of MPE Engineering Ltd. Any qualification which is granted shall apply only to the "Calling Lake Seniors Centre". The new single-storey seniors centre will consist of eight units, each comprising living essentials such as a kitchen, a washroom, a living room, and one bedroom. There will also be a centralized common core with a gathering area, an administrative area, a laundry room, a pantry, a handicap accessible washroom, a mechanical room, storage room, and an electrical room. Lastly, there will be a parking lot with parking stalls for staff and residents, some of which will be designated handicap parking. The intent of this Request For Qualification (RFQ) is to seek qualified submissions from Proponents with proven experience in the design-build of similar sized infrastructure to submit a design-build proposal to the MD.
