Site work and paving for a civil project in Delavan, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The proposed construction consists of the installation of approximately 338 feet of 12-inch RCP storm sewer, 100 feet of trench drain, asphalt and concrete surface restoration, and other miscellaneous items of work. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the City of Delavan for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. The Council reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder. The work of this Pay Item consists of connecting roof drains to the proposed storm sewer in the Third Street Alley, excavation; removal and disposal of waste excavated materials; protection, replacement, or repair of utilities; temporary pumping of storm flows around work area if necessary, to complete work; finish grading. Included in the cost of this Pay Item is the lateral wye, fittings, and storm sewer pipe connecting the roof drain to the proposed storm sewer as indicated in the drawings. BIDDER agrees the Work will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 1.11 of the Supplementary Conditions within 45 calendar days after the Contract Time commences to run. The Work shall be completed by November 31, regardless of the start date.
