These can be either fixed panels that are made to measure to the proposed IGU frame and turned around by maintenance staff between the heating and cooling seasons, roller shades or another suitable alternative (with and/or without motorization). The high security areas (approximately 20% of the building) will require an additional level of security to access and assess the best option available. Priority should be given to use these solar blinds on the North, West and South facades to maximize the savings potential with alternate more cost effective options for the East facade provided that will closely match the blinds used throughout the rest of the building. Consultant shall ensure all materials for the blinds being reviewed for this study meets the National Fire Code and NFPA requirements.
