Site work for a mixed-use development in Tigard, Oregon. Design plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
This project involves the design, construction, and installation of a neighborhood park off of Greenburg Road in an underserved area that is lacking parks. The property was purchased in 2013 with funding from the 2010 Park Bond. A conceptual plan has been created to guide the development of the park. Some of the key findings of the plan include: - There are three dominant traits of the site: a small grove of mature deciduous trees, an open meadow, and the Ash Creek stream corridor with its associated pond and wetlands. - About an acre of this 8.25-acre future neighborhood park could be developed. The rest of the site, which comprises a small creek and wetlands, will remain green space. - The site is best suited for small group activities and passive recreation. As of August 20, 202, per owner, Tigard has completed the public outreach phase of the project and has moved into the design phase of the park. Construction is slated to begin in 2026. A design team has been identified.
