Site work and paving for a civil project in Guilford Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

Requests for clarification are due Thursday, September 2, 2021 6:00:00 PM [(UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)]. The project scope consists of the removal of the existing structure and the construction of a precast/post-tensioned concrete box culvert. The culvert located on Topaz Drive has a clear span of 12 feet and an approximate length of 50 feet. Utility lines for water, electric, sewer, cable, and phone must be relocated. The roadway work will involve placement of subbase and paving as well as guiderail and other minor improvements. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this contract. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within sixty 60 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids. Expected Contract Value: $300,000-$350,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Work includes the following: a. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic. The contractor will be able to close Topaz Drive for a period not to exceed 7 days to local traffic. Hamilton Township will construct and maintain the temporary access between Opal and Ruby Drive with a temporary extension of Emerald Drive as shown on CM-1005. b. Fabrication and placement of precast concrete box culvert's, wingwalls and headwalls including excavation to required grades, Stone subbase and backfill. c. Construction of concrete toewall and riprap aprons. d. Installation of drainage improvements including new storm sewer pipe and flared end Section. e. Relocation of force main, replacement of gravity sewer. Including bypass pumping. Requirements for bypass pumping are required as noted: Pump Station #6 Forcemain Gravity Main ADF = 28,000 gpd (19.5 gpm) ADF = 19,000 gpd (13.0gpm) PHF = 130,000 gpd (90 gpm) PHF = 87,000 gpd (60.5 gpm) All sanitary sewer work must be coordinated with Hamilton Township Authority. f. Relocation of watermain. All work must be coordinated with Bear Valley Water g. Relocation of electric service. West Penn Power to set temporary poles for construction.
