Renovation of an educational facility in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Hirsch HS - OBI - Boilers Only pre-qualified various trade vendors are invited to bid. Boiler Feed Tank Repairs Drain the boiler feed tank. Cut out rotted area around the piping at bottom of tank. Weld in a new steel patch of approx. 10" x 12". Weld on a new 2-1/2" tank flange. Assemble new piping to accommodate new boiler feed pump being provided on a different work order. Includes new gate valves, strainer and fittings. Refill tank. Start up and test. Boiler #2 Drain water from boiler and gas train. Cut out and remove [8] bad upper boiler tubes. Cut out and remove [4] bad lower boiler tubes. Grind and clean tube holes on both ends. Remove any lose scale. Furnish and install [12] new boiler tubes rolled and flared on both ends. Repair refractory. Fill up boiler and test. Boiler #3 Drain water from boiler and gas train. Cut out and remove [2] bad upper boiler tubes. Cut out and remove [29] bad lower boiler tubes. Grind and clean tube holes on both ends. Remove any lose scale. Furnish and install [31] new boiler tubes rolled and flared on both ends. Fill up boiler and test.
