Renovation of a mixed-use development in Swanton, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and fitness / recreation center.

The Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, an Executive Department of the State of Maryland, hereinafter called "the Department," "Juvenile Services," or "DJS," is soliciting Invitation for Bids (IFB) to furnish and install a propane furnace and air conditioning unit in the gymnasium building at the Backbone Mountain Youth Center. A. This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, licenses and permits, etc. necessary to furnish and install a propane furnace and air conditioning system in the Gymnasium. 1. The Contractor shall tie into existing building and existing ductwork. The contractor will install new Carrier 25HCE460A003/59SC5B120E24-22 or approved equal 120K BTU furnace with A-coil and 5 ton AC compressor and tie into existing ductwork. 2. The Contractor shall supply and install all breakers in existing panel and wiring making proper connections. The contractor shall supply and install all plumbing included for a complete operating system. 3. The Contractor shall supply and install all lines and fittings for pump installation. 4. The Contractor shall supply and install thermostat and wire for thermostat. 5. The Contractor shall install and connect condensate pump. 6. The Contractor to run propane supply line to propane tank outside of building. This includes all high and low pressure regulators if needed for a full operational system. Propane tank will be supplied by DJS. This is a Small Business Reserve procurement for which award is limited to certified small business vendors. Only businesses that meet the requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article, 14-501 - 14- 505, Annotated Code of Maryland, and who are registered with the Department of General Services Small Business Reserve Program are eligible for award.
