As of September 13, 2021, this project has been awarded to Coontz Roofing Inc. but the awarded amount is not yet avaialble. 1. NPS Wilson Elementary Emergency Reroof 2. NPS Truman Primary Emergency Reroof 3. NPS Jefferson Elementary Emergency Reroof and/or 4. NPS Combined Emergency Reroof Contractors must agree to commence work on a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" and to substantially complete the project within the amount of consecutive calendar days stated in his proposal of "Notice to Proceed". The contractor must agree to fully complete the project within Thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after Substantial Completion. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or a quote bond in an amount equal to 5% of the total amount of the proposal as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the contractor will execute the contract and give bond as required. The three lowest contractors' checks or quote bonds will be retained until the selected contractor has entered into a contract and furnished a 100% Performance and Payment Bond and Statutory Bond if required by the Owner. Refer to forms, included in this specification. Should the successful contractor decline to enter into a contract and furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment and Statutory Bond within five (5) days after his proposal has been accepted, the successful contractor's certified check or quote bond will be forfeited. A cashier's check, certified check or surety bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the quote will accompany the submitted proposal of each estimator. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all quotes.
