The person legally authorized to sign the bid must sign all bid bonds. The approved bid bond form attached to these Specifications should be used: no substantial variations from the language thereof will be accepted. Except as modified by the Special Provisions, the Respondent to whom the Contract is awarded shall provide a payment and performance bond, including power of attorney, for 100 percent of the amount of his/her bid (including sales taxes), to insure complete performance of the Contract including the guarantee. The bonds must be executed by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Washington. For a supply-type contract, a cashier's check or cash may be substituted for the bonds; however, this cash or cashier's check must remain with the City through the guarantee period and any interest on said amount shall accrue to the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive minor deviations or informalities, and if necessary, call for new bids. All Bids Rejected.
