Site work for a water / sewer project in Bowen Island, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The construction of a new potable water storage reservoir to service the Tunstall Bay community. The proposed concept includes supply and assembly of a new above-ground glass-fused bolted steel reservoir on a concrete foundation. The proposed reservoir site has been selected to be adjacent to the existing Tunstall Bay Reservoir. The proposed reservoir volume is to be 595 m3, The new reservoir is to have the same height as the existing reservoir, which is 6 m. The reservoir is to include a separate fill and draw line, an overflow line and a tank emptying line. A brief description of the work is as follows: 595 m3 glass-fused bolted steel reservoir on a concrete foundation Clearing and grubbing, site grading, excavation, trenching and backfilling Approximately 21 m of DR 18 PVC watermain (200 mm diameter) Approximately 16 m of Class 160 polyethylene (50 mm diameter) Approximately 7 m of PVC drainage pipe (200 mm and 100 mm diameter) with overflow manhole and swale Electrical work at new and existing reservoirs Documents can be obtained from http://www.bowenislandmunicipality.ca/rfps-andtenders and www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
