Description of Work: Weaver Park is split into two parcels by Re ed Creek. Currently, connection of these two portions of the park is by a wooden pedestrian bridge that is in need of replacement. This project will demolish the existing bridge, remove the pathway leading to it and purchase and install a new bridge and new connector pathways. Location- 200 Murdock Ave Asheville, NC 28804 These questions will ultimately be posted with answers in an addendum no later than (7) days prior to the bid opening date. Attendance will be taken at the pre-bid site visit, and will be shared in the addendum. Attendance to the Pre-Bid meeting is highly encouraged but not mandatory. The Citys Asheville Business Inclusion Policy and the City's Drug-Free Workplace Policy will be explained during the virtual pre-bid meeting. The Asheville Business Inclusion Policy requires Minority and Women Business Enterprise outreach on City contracts. Additionally, N.C.G.S. 143-128.2 requires minority and women business outreach for building construction projects requiring the below provided information to be reported to the State of North Carolina Office of Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB). The Bidder shall provide applicable ABI Affidavits, as described in the project manual on page 14 - Asheville Business Inclusion (ABI Goals), with their bid in order to be deemed responsive, failure to do so will result in the Bidders bid being deemed non-responsive and disqualified.
