Questions Due Date: Oct 5th 2021, 5:00 PM CDT Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier check or an approved bidder's bond made payable to RA Development in an amount of five (5%) percent of the largest possible total of the bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the Bidder will enter into a Contract and execute all necessary bonds. Bid securities will be returned to Bidders when the Contract award is made or bids are rejected. Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract, and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, will be required upon the forms which are a part of the contract Documents. Bonds shall be executed by a surety company acceptable to and approved by RA Development and the City of Burleson, Texas, authorized to do business in the State of Texas and acceptable for underwriting of risks as indicated by the latest revision, Treasury Department Circular 570, listing acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds. The period of the Maintenance Bond shall be two years from the date of acceptance of all work done under the Contract, to cover the guarantee as set forth in the Special Conditions. The major work will consist of the installation of approximately 7500 LF of 15" to 24" sanitary sewer line, including trench blocks, 16 manholes, replacement of certain surface improvements, and repair of roadway where the sewer is being installed beneath pavement. Also included is an asphalt pavement overlay of the entire roadway width in County Road 914 and 1021 in the upstream area of the proposed sewer main. The sewer installation continues downstream from County Road 1021 in an easterly direction through various private properties crossing Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and Mockingbird Lane. All scope of work shall be bid and installed complete and in place as outlined within the Contract Documents and Specifications.
