The City of Burleson is looking to provide sewer services to the area of FM 917 and I-35W. There is proposed development at the northeast corner of FM 917 and S Burleson Blvd. and they are interested in connecting to the City's sewer system in lieu of an onsite septic system. In addition, there are other prospective properties in the area that would benefit from permanent sewer service. The property on the southeast corner of FM 917 and S Burleson Blvd. is currently on septic and would also be a candidate for connecting to permanent sewer services. Due to the topography and distance to the nearest sewer main, permanent sewer service to this area will require a sewer lift station. The City has analyzed the potential developments and determined that the lift station shall be designed to accommodate 1 MGD. The proposed lift station will be located near the northeast corner of FM 917 and S Burleson Blvd. The exact location will be in coordination with the proposed development of the site and access for maintenance and operations. From the lift station there will be an 8-inch sewer force main constructed along FM 917, traveling west and connecting to the existing 8" stub located near the intersection of FM 917 and Vantage Dr. The force main will cross under I35W, which will require extensive coordination and approval from TxDOT. The project will include full design and construction of the lift station and force main. The project may also include easement acquisition and utility coordination/relocation. The consultant team will assist with all design coordination, ROW mapping and permitting in order to successfully deliver the project.
