Deadline for Submission of Questions on October 1st, 2021, 5:00 PM local time. Sealed Bids for the construction of the Main and Pratt Water Treatment Plant Automated Chemical Feed System Improvements, will be received, by the Village of Palm Springs, at the office of the Palm Springs Village Clerk, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of furnishing and installing (6) new sodium hypochlorite chemical metering pump skids, new sodium hypochlorite feed piping, valves, supports, rotameter sunshield assembly (Main WTP), and appurtenances in the chemical feed room and injection point locations as shown on the bid drawings and specifications for the Main and Pratt water treatment plants. Electrical modifications include new conduit installation, new power and control wire installation, HOA control station installation, terminations, and lighting in the existing control panel FP-0-2 (Pratt WTP) and FP-4-2 (Main WTP) and PLC programing as shown on the bid drawings and specifications for the Main and Pratt water treatment plants. Any questions regarding the specifications and Solicitation process must be submitted in writing to the Village Clerk at kwynn@vpsfl.org. Questions and requests for clarification and additional information must be received prior to the Deadline for Submission of Questions on October 1st, 2021, 5:00 PM local time. Pursuant to Section 2-355 of Palm Beach County Ordinance No. 2011-039, and the purchasing policies of the Village of Palm Springs, all Solicitations, once advertised, are under the Cone of Silence until the appropriate authority has approved an award recommendation, rejected all responses or some other action by the Village to end the selection process. This limits and requires documentation of communications between potential Bidders and/or Bidders on Village Solicitations, the Villages professional staff, and the Village Council members.
