The purpose of this RFP is to establish a pool of pre-qualified contractors that can quickly compete for public works minor construction projects as they arise. Section 255.20, Florida Statues, allows prequalification of licensed contractors for projects under $200,000.00 (two hundred thousand dollars) in cost or more than $75,000 (seventy-five thousand dollars) in electrical work. It is the intent of the Village to pre-qualify a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) contractors for entry into this pool. Each such contractor will be required to enter into an Agreement that will set forth general terms and conditions related to performing services when specific projects are awarded. The Agreement will not authorize any specific work or constitute a guarantee that any work will be assigned to a contractor. All work will be awarded and released through individual project solicitations and task orders to the selected pre-qualified contractors. The qualification will be for general contractors to participate in the procurement and construction to furnish all materials, labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, fees, expertise, and services on an as-needed basis for public works minor construction projects as they arise. All Prospective Bidders/respondents Are Hereby Cautioned Not to Contact Any Member of the Village of Palm Springs Staff or Officials Other Than the Specified Contact Person M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process.
