Site work for a civil project in Island Lake, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The new sewage lagoon, SPS and sewage force main will serve the MLCN community for a design life of 20 years. The following are general capacities of the lagoon to meet the demands of the community: One Treatment cell, providing a total treatment area of approximately 5 hectares (ha). Two Storage cells, providing a total storage volume of approximately 130,000 cubic meters (m2). With the new location of the lagoon, the community will require a new SPS and a sewage force main. The SPS will be required to handle the expected peak hour flow of 20.0 L/s with 100% back up (i.e. a genset and two pumps) with a storage capacity to meet the optimal start/stop conditions recommended by the pump manufacturer. The force main installation will include an approximately 3,200 m long 150 mm diameter HDPE force main will be required to service the community.
