Site work and paving for a civil project in South Jordan, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
Question Submission Close Date : 9/21/2021 12:00 PM MDT. Preparation and construction of asphalt trails and furnishing and installing a pedestrian bridge. This project consists of the preparation and construction of an asphalt trail and the furnishing and installation of a pedestrian bridge. The Midas Creek Trail will be improved from 11800 South to 2700 West. The construction of the trail includes all labor, supplies, tools, equipment, parts, rentals, fuels, utilities, subcontractors, sup pliers, mobilization and all other costs including overhead and profit to complete the job based on construction plans, APWA standards, and City requirements. City staff has provided an allowance for the pedestrian bridge to be purchased from CONTECH Engineered Solutions, LLC. Contractor shall request approval 5 days before the closure of the bid if Contractor desires to use another supplier. The pedestrian bridge shall be similar in design, color, and material as the existing one at 3200 West. The final design shall be approved by City staff after the bid is awarded. Contractors shall review drawings and specifications in order to provide a price that will cover the desired job. Any services that have been omitted from this specification that are clearly necessary for completing the work shall be considered a requirement although not directly specified or called for in the RFP. Contractors are expected to follow all local, city, state, and federal standards, codes, and specifications. The deadline to complete the project is June 15, 2022. However, Contractor will only 45 days from the date contractors mobilize to the site to complete the project. Contractors are required to submit the following documents. If the Contractor does not submit the following documents, their bid might be disqualified. Please do not contact the City of South Jordan directly with questions. The City reserves the right to award this bid in full or in part. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid if the City believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project or the City. Without limitation, such rejection may be because the Bid is not responsive, or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful ability or the Bid or Bidder fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the City, as solely determined by City. The Work to be performed for this schedule is located on the Midas Creek Trail from 11800 South to 2700 West and generally includes the Construction of an Asphalt Trail, but it is not limited to Clearing and Grubbing for Proposed Improvements; Vegetation Removal and Disposal; Site Grading; Furnishing and Installation of 8-in Compacted Road-Base, Furnishing and Installation of 10-ft-AverageWidth Asphalt Trail; Construction of Pedestrian Ramps; Stripping; Furnish and Installation of Bollards and Signs; Furnish and Installation of Pedestrian Bridge; Furnishing and Installation of all Materials; Construction Surveying and Staking; Material Testing and Quality Control; All Labor, Supplies, Tools, Equipment, Parts, Rentals, Fuels, Utilities, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Mobilization and all other Costs including Overhead and Profit.
