The project is expected to be awarded on October 10, 2022.** A representative from Black and Veatch will be available to answer any technical questions concerning this work. Consideration will be given only to Contractors who submit evidence that they are properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes to bid and perform the work described herein as the general contractor and must have proper licenses under the state laws governing their respective trades at the time of bid opening. A non-Mandatory Pre-Bid teleconference will be held at the time and location listed in the Pre-bid Notice. The Work to be performed under these Contract Documents is generally described as follows: a. WRAS Piping: o Modification to the Waste Return Activated Sludge (WRAS) piping in the vicinity of the existing Primary Clarifiers and associated site work. b. Headworks & Influent Pumping Station: o Modification to the Centrate piping and associated supports and valves. o Tapping of two 42" Preliminary Treatment Effluent (PTE) pipes. o Furnish and install new flood float switches, gas monitoring strobe lights and horns and light fixtures. o Furnish and install conduits required for the modifications to the fire alarm system that will be implemented by Johnson Controls under separate contract. o Demolish existing polyethylene air tubing and replace in kind. o Site grading and seeding work. c.
