Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lindsay, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

As of November 15, 2021, the project has been awarded to American Pavement Systems, Inc., for $829,027.50. All terms and conditions contained in the contract documents, including the information to bidders, shall become part of the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the time set for the opening thereof. A time limit of Sixty-Six (66) calendar days has been set for the completion of the work from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The work shall be commenced within ten (10) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed and shall be diligently prosecuted until completion. A Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bidder's Bond in the amount often percent (10%) of the bid made payable to the City of Lindsay will be required to accompany each proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the City of Lindsay with a "Performance Bond" in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract and a "Labor and Material Bond" in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Bidder agrees to pay, as Liquidated Damages, Eight Hundred Dollars ($800.00) for each consecutive calendar day delay in finishing the work in excess of the number of calendar days as prescribed above. The Bidder's attention is directed to the General and Special Conditions as to provisions for extension of time of completion and/or assessment of Liquidated Damages. Any contract entered into pursuant to this notice will incorporate the provisions of the State Labor Code. Compliance with the apprenticeship employment standards established by the State Director ofIndustrial Relations will be required. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall comply with the requirements set forth in Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 of the Labor Code. The District has obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to execute the Contract. These per diem rates, including holiday and ove11ime work, as well as employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, and similar purposes, are on file at the District, and are also available from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to California Labor Code section 1720 et seq., it shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under such Contractor, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract. The right is reserved by the City of Lindsay to reject any or all bids, to evaluate the bids submitted and to award the contract according to the proposal which best serves the interests of said City.
