Major Items of Work Include: Roadway Reshaping3 MILES Agg. Surf. CL 513,738 TONS A bidders bond in the amount of 5% of the amount bid, made payable to Cass County shall accompany each bid as electronic or paper bid form. Paper bid bonds must be submitted by 1:00 P.M. to the Cass County Highway Department office the day of the bid letting. Certified or Cashiers checks will not be accepted. No bid will be read or considered which does not comply with the bond requirements. Contractors may be required to submit information detailing their ability to perform the work specific to this project. Cass County may determine the prequalification status of each contractor requesting a proposal, and reserves the right to deny bid documents to any contractor based on the Countys responsibility determination. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. All bidders must be qualified to bid under the laws of North Dakota. MS2103 will incorporate roadway reshaping and aggregate surfacing to improve the 45th St S/172 nd Ave SE corridor from 76 th Ave S to Cass County Highway 16. Project MS2103 is 4 miles long including 1 mile of aggregate surfacing and 3 miles of roadway reshaping and aggregate surfacing. The north mile will include the placement of Class 5 aggregate 2" thick and 22' wide. The south three miles will include scarifying, regrading, and compacting of the existing roadway 6"-8" deep and 20' wide to the line and grades shown in the typical sections as well as placement of Class 5 aggregate 6" thick and 20' wide. As provided in Standard Specification No. 108.06, completion date for this project is May 28th, 2022. Contractors shall make any necessary changes to bid for any work being done in 2022.
