Well facility and site improvements, including well pump and motor replacement, process piping replacement, yard piping modifications, chemical feed system addition, reservoir abandonment, and structure modifications. Two well rehabilitations, booster pump motor replacement, and miscellaneous facility improvements at another well site are included in the scope of Work. This Project is expected to be funded in whole or in part with funds provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development Services. Information on applicable federal requirements is contained in the Project Manual. The Bidder's attention is called to the "Equal Opportunity Clause" and the "Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specification" included in the Specifications. The goal and timetables for minority and female participation, expressed in percentage terms for the Contractor's aggregate workforce in each trade on all construction work in the covered area, are as follows: Goals for minority participate for each trade = 8% (Waukesha County) Goals for women participate for each trade = 6.9% The Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to OWNER in an amount of 5% of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. Bidders shall comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, Equal Employment Opportunity as amended. The Village of Lannon reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after the time set for receiving Bids. Contract award shall be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. American Iron and Steel: Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A-Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this Project. All iron and steel products used in this Project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.
