The Scope of Work will include furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and other incidentals necessary to perform the work. The awarded Contractor will be tasked with employing qualified personnel that will provide services described within the Scope of Work. Routine maintenance services may include, but are not limited to, maintenance and repair activities associated with roadways (to include off system associated infrastructure), drainage infrastructure, roadside vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, and emergency response. All work zone traffic control installations associated with performing a maintenance activity are included as part of the maintenance activity itself. Travel from Operation Center to the work site is included in the work activity. The Contractor will receive Work Assignments bi-weekly from the Contract Manager. Contractor's staff is expected to work under minimal supervision from the Department. If the Contractor expects to complete the biweekly work prior to the end of the period,the Contractor will coordinate with the Contract Manager for additional work assignments. In accordance with section 287.057(23), Florida Statutes, respondents to this solicitation or persons acting on their behalf may not contact, between the release of the solicitation and the end of the 72-hour period following the agency posting the notice of intended award, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays, any employee or officer of the executive or legislative branch concerning any aspect of this solicitation, except in writing to the procurement officer or as provided in the solicitation documents. Violation of this provision may be grounds for rejecting a response. Any technical questions arising from this Request for Proposal must be forwarded, in writing, to the procurement agent identified below. Questions must be received no later than the time and date reflected on the Timeline. The Department's written response to written inquiries submitted timely by proposers will be posted on the Florida Vendor Bid System at http://myflorida.com/apps/vbs/vbs_www.main_menu (click on "Search Advertisements"), under this RFP number. It is the responsibility of all potential proposers to monitor this site for any changing information prior to submitting their proposal. Thomas, D1-Purchasing@dot.state.fl.us Questions regarding administrative aspects of the proposal process should be directed to the Procurement Agent in writing at the address above or by phone: 863-519-2207 The State of Florida Department of Transportation, hereinafter referred to as the "Department", requests written proposals from qualified Proposers to provide Heartland Operations Center Supplemental Crew Contract. It is anticipated that the term of the contract will be 12 months. Should the Department determine that the proposal has material misrepresentations or that the size or nature of the Proposer's facilities or the number of experienced personnel (including technical staff) are not adequate to ensure satisfactory contract performance, the Department has the right to reject the proposal.
