The work for the Highlands Roof Replacement specifically includes demolition of current roof structure, and replacement of underlayment, flashing, composition, shingles, gutters, and downspouts Approximate square footage of the Highlands house roof: 1,370 square feet of single-story roof. 3,104 square feet of second-story roof. 420 square feet of flat roof/decking. 4,894 total square feet. Approximately 270 linear feet of gutter. 10 existing downspout locations, 6 single-story and 4 second-story. The roof under consideration for replacement must be measured for square footage requirements to solicit bids for demolition/tear off, all materials, metal edging, gutters and downspouts, and ridge or other vent replacement. Bids should include all labor, according to prevailing wage rates (California's DIR) material, equipment, debris/trash removal, transportation, services, permits and taxes for completion of work outlined and shall be in accordance with local codes and ordinances. All bids shall require labor and equipment. The bids should also include replacement of any rotten or damaged rafters, sheeting, and fascia boards that have deteriorated prior to installing the new roof. All bids shall include workman's compensation insurance coverage.
