Replacing the Existing Boat Ramp in West Leach Park in Spencer, IA with a new Reinforced Concrete Boat Ramp. The project will also include site grading, riverbank stabilization and granular parking lot surfacing. Said proposals received shall be acted upon at 6:30 PM, October 4, 2021 at the City Council Chambers or at such later time and place as may then be fixed. Major items of construction and approximate quantities thereof for the "2021 WEST LEACH PARK BOAT RAMP PROJECT, SPENCER, IOWA," are as follows: 6" Reinforced Concrete Boat Ramp 160 Sq Yd Class 10 Excavation 900 Cu Yd Class E Revetment (IDOT 4130) 350 Ton Granular Surfacing 500 Ton The contractor shall have 21 consecutive calendar days to complete the project. Said 21 day period shall be between October 1, 2021 and May 27, 2022. The contractor shall complete all work covered by the contract on or before the 21st calendar day following the commencement of work at the site, or May 27, 2022, whichever comes first The Contractor shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bond (see Chapter 573 of the current Code of Iowa), in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract, said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall protect and save harmless the CITY, and KRUSE, CATE & NELSON, P.C., Spencer, Iowa, from claims and damages of any kind caused by the construction of said improvements, and shall also guarantee the maintenance of said improvement in good repair for not less than two (2) years from the date of final acceptance of the improvement by the City Council.
