The University of California, Berkeley is seeking an executive architectural consultant with CASP certification to review the accessible design for the Anchor House Student Housing Project. The consultant will perform design review and provide review comments to the University during the schematic design, development design, and construction design phases of the project. Following satisfactory responses by the project design team to all consultant reviewer's comments, the University will require a letter from the CASP certified reviewer indicating the project design is in general conformance with pertinent accessibility design standards. Subject line of the email should state BuildingConnected Question and include Project Number/Name. The selected firm shall employ a CASP certified staff member to review accessibility design elements and provide pertinent comments during all project design phases. The selected firm shall also attend up to 10 meetings (virtual or in person as appropriate) with University representatives and/or project design team members to discuss their comments. Following the successful completion of the project's accessibility design elements , the CASP certified reviewer will provide a letter to the University indicating the project design is in general conformance with applicable accessibility design standards. After a consultant has been selected a detailed scope of work will be negotiated. The university intends for the project design to be complete within twelve (12) months of a signed agreement for services. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
