The work generally consists of the following: The installation of new PVC water main with all valves, fittings, hydrants and appurtenances; the abandonment of the existing water main; installation of new underdrain; and all required restoration as indicated in the drawings and in the specifications. The time allotted for this project is 90 days, for substantial completion. All contractor Requests For Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at cankney@dunedinfl.net, prior to 2:00 p.m., local time. The City will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely manner. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, as guarantee that the BIDDER will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids and, if written notice is given of such award, enter into a written Contract with the City of Dunedin, Florida, in accordance with the written Proposal. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for a Certificate of Insurance, a Performance and Payment Bond, and meet other requirements, as set forth in the contract The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
